Ben lost his first tooth in February. He didn't even realize it was loose but was excited at the prospect of the tooth fairy coming so he started to wiggle it like crazy until it easily fell out.
The night before the tooth fairy arrived we couldn't decide on where to put the tooth. When Ben was a baby I came upon this cute tooth fairy box. Adorable and convenient for the fairy...how can you go wrong with that, I ask? But Jamie wanted to stick with his childhood tradition of putting the tooth in the bathroom (what the?) in a cup filled with water (double what the?). So, we decided to let Ben decide. He chose the bathroom cup solution so Jamie filled up a cup with water and plopped the tooth in. At the last minute, Ben changed his mind and before anyone could stop him he dumped the water and the tooth right down the drain. Needless to say, our boy was beyond devestated and many tears of dissapointment were shed. UNTIL...Daddy tore the sink apart and found the teeny, tiny tooth (I'm talking super small, people!) at the bottom of the tube thingy (very technical term...I'm not surprised that some of you don't know what this is) underneath the sink. Thank goodness, his toothless smile returned...thanks Dad!
The next morning he awoke to a nice surprise...about $3.00! He carefully layed it all out in nice neat rows so he could easily count his loot. And then he charted it on his piece of paper :)

What a cute story! Isn't it funny the weird traditions we have to put up with from our husbands? Ha ha, just kidding....kind of. I think its really sweet that your husband took the time to take the sink apart and find Ben's little tiny tooth in the curvy pipe, thingy! What a hero he is to his little boy :)
First of all, congrats to BEN for this fun milestone! And second of all, Jamie deserves the daddy of the year award for saving the moment like that! Seriously, that's just awesome. Ben will love hearing this story for years to come!
That was nice of Jamie to tear the sink apart to find the tooth. Your tooth fairy is a lot more generous than our tooth fairy.

I can't believe Jaime tore the sink apart! What a good daddy! So cute that Ben charts everything...maybe he'll be some sort of scientist or accountant when he grows up??
How fun! Adrian pulled out a tooth this morning and ran back from the bus stop with it and then almost missed the bus!! What funny kiddos we have;)
